Home > About (information)
Hello. This page is kinda like the dotting-the-Is-and-crossing-the-Ts area of the site. Giving you some information, and finding a place for a bunch of stuff that I want to impart.
All of the stuff on Flip Flop Flyin', unless it says otherwise near the offending work, is created by me. My name is Craig Robinson.
Thus, all the stuff created by me is owned by me, so if you plan on using it, send an email to craig AT flipflopflyin DOT com and I will decide whether you can use it or not, and how much money I will charge you if I do allow it.
This may sound pissy, but sadly, there are people out there (hello Mr. Portuguese Mobile Phone Company) who believe that theft is a legitimate way to run a business.
Here are some of the logos Flip Flop Flyin' has used in its time.
My mum is called Carol. My dad was called Steve. He died in 1987. My sister is called Joanne. My mother's parents died before I was born.
My father's parents are also dead. My grandfather, George Robinson, was a fine pipe smokin' bus drivin' man. He died in 1987, about one month before my father died, which was a pretty horrible time, to be honest.
My grandmother, Cristine Robinson died in 2002. That's her in the sky, top left. She was a great lady. You can try her apple crumble recipe, if you like.
At school, I was okay at art, technical drawing and geography.
I speak English, can bluff my way thru' interaction with a waitress in German, say a few words in Spanish, but any other language is pretty much entirely mysterious to me.
Lots of people deserve thanking for their help and support since FFF started. They know who they are, but one person has been a constant helper and supporter right from the start.
Step up, James William Kendall. He's a fine man, he lives in Brighton, wears nice jeans, dances with his fingers better than anyone in the world , has immaculate taste in house music, and doesn't mind if I call him "Felicity" or "Mint Cake."
Big Mac and fries and a soft drink (milkshake is extra) also to John, Keith, Mark, Steve, Emma, Hanni, Drew, and Demian.
My favourite colours, in alphabetical order, are brown, pink, and red.
When I do the site, I make with Safari and Firefox in mind. There are a few problems in places if you use Internet Explorer or some other browsers. I apologise for this, but I'm afraid I don't have the patience to make sure every little thing works in every version of every browser.
I'm slightly concerned that I may use too much punctuation. An ex-girlfriend once said that when I write something, I start with an amount of punctuation I intend to use, and randomly throw it at a page. There's some truth in that.
If this is your first visit to the site, here's a brief intro that might help you find your way around.
So, where does one begin? Well, it depends on your needs. If you require a quick bit of ooh-ing and aah-ing, it's probably a good idea to go the Minipops section. This is the most famous part of FFF, the part that's had lots of stuff written about it in magazines and newspapers around the world. It's basically some pictures of famous people drawn really small. It doesn't sound too impressive, huh, but people seem to like it.
Another good place to begin is Fun Fun Fun, which works on the same tiny scale. This section presents possible ways for you to have some fun.
If you like all the stuff and need more, maybe you should sign up for the newsletter, which kinda delivers more stuff, but directly into your inbox at vague intervals.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at craig AT flipflopflyin.com, and I will do my best to answer you.
Craig Robinson, Berlin.
