This graphic was done to compare the travel schedule of a team today (see 2009 Kansas City Royals' travel schedule graphic) and in earlier times. There's also a graphic for the 1959 Kansas City Athletics. I originally chose Kansas City because of its location in the centre of the States, so the Royals graphic would be more aesthetically pleasing. In this graphic Kansas City has the westernmost team in the National League.
