This is an idea that has been floating around in my head for a few months, and for obvious reasons, I got around to realising it this weekend.

Each dot represents one word of the song. The colours represent who is saying that word.

Sometimes, I'm asked if there are prints of my work available; I don't normally do that sort of thing, but on the off-chance that you would like a print of this graphic, I'm providing a hi-res TIFF (254 x 321 mm / 10 x 12.6 inches; zipped file; 18.1MB) that you can download and have printed.

You don't have to pay for it—-I certainly don't want to profit from it—-but if you do want to download and print it, it would be nice if you would consider donating something to a cancer charity.

Links to charities and the hi-res file on the page.

Another Twitter search poem.

It feels like picking low-hanging fruit to do a Twitter search poem of the things said about Chris Brown. He’s a moderately talented musician, a pretty good dancer, and, it would seem, a hideous human being. But he has a lot of fans, many of whom are more than willing to overlook his failings as a person simply because he is physically attractive.

It's funny to me that I have different types of pixelated drawings of people, and I give them different names. It seems obvious to me that there's a difference between Minipops, Lollipops, and Flopps, but they're all essentially pixelly portraits.

Anyway, these Flopps are new-ish to the site. The style began when I drew a few baseball players like this, and now I've collected some of the non-baseball ones together that I've done over the last 18 months or so. I plan to do more, but for now, here's a handful of Mexicans and a couple of Canadians.

Just a quick note, just checking in.

Not much has been going on Flip Flop Flyin' so far this year. The site isn't dead, but my baseball site, Flip Flop Fly Ball, is taking up more of my time these days, which is mostly because of the book that is coming out in July. I still keep putting up iPod and iPad drawings now and again, and there's a bunch of Post-its on my wall with stuff that I really wanna do for FFF, but while the book stuff is gearing up, with all the will in the world, I'm not gonna be as prolific here as I would like to be. But, y'know, fingers crossed. Still blogging, of course.

I have done some stuff today, though: housekeeping. I've updated the G things section, filleting out some of the better stuff from the aforementioned blog, updating it for the first time since mid 2009. And some other stuff that hasn't really been given a proper home, and is now on the main page (that is, this page). First, something from 2008-09, the Public bathroom trilogy. Three videos of me washing my hands in three museum bathrooms. A video of a Squirrel playing last summer in Toronto. A couple of paintings, collectively titled Rooftop parties. Another painting, this time with a Spanish title, Nuestra nada de Guadalupe (Our nothing of Guadalupe). And finally, a wee wee story I wrote from FAQ Magazine, called What are you thinking about?

You can see all of that just by clicking through to the main page.

I keep forgetting to do it, because I do it manually. There have been a few new things over recent months, but mostly drawings done on my iPod and lately the iPad.
