Looking back at some old stuff

I'm currently working on a couple of new illustrations for the Observer Music Magazine. Same style as the previous stuff. And it just so happens to coincide with discussions about the possibility of an exhibition of a lot of these (what I refer to as) OMMpops in Paris later this summer. More details about that as and when.

Because it's been quite a while since I've drawn something in this style, I've been going through all of my old creations just to get back into the swing of the character style.

It's quite nice to look back at things you've made and realise that you did a pretty good job. So, excuse this Friday afternoon self-glorification, but here's a bunch of those illustrations that you are less likely to have seen as they weren't part of the main OMM campaign.

I'll not tell you who they are supposed to be, other than that the first two are younger and older versions of Elvis Costello.

Astounding.
I hope you don't mind, Craig, but I have been using the Kraftwerk and Velvets ones as screen wallpaper for quite some time now (I alternate depending on mood, and also throw Kiss and Village People into the mix).
I love the facial fuzz on the Coldplays. But they're all great.
